Jesus' feet

I have been working a lot lately but am still finding the time here and there to sew an art quilt.  This one is a portrayal of Jesus' feet on the cross.  There is a bit of blood dripping down to the ground where a vine with heart-shaped leaves is growing.  A bit of symbolism there.
UPDATE: I don't know when I started this post.  Several years ago, never finished it, to busy while working to "blog" so now I am retired I will share some more stuff.

This is one of my favorite art quilts I have made. Probably because of the subject matter.  It would seem to be a gruesome item to put on a quilt but it tells such a story.  Gods Son on the cross who died for our sins.  I made the quilt by request from the music director for Easter one year.  They wanted to have people portray different parts of the Easter story with their own art.  I chose Jesus feet on the cross as it seemed like it would be easier for me and I had an instant vision of how I wanted to do it so that kind of says it was Spirit lead.  As I generally do not instantly know what I want to do with a quilt.  The only problem is finding the perfect place to hang it in our new house.  It has to be the right place.
